Current Events

Promises, Promises – An advent study course by Nick Fawcett led by Ian and Ruth Sheldrake. To take place weekly on Wednesday evenings, starting again 7 January at 7:30pm in Didsbury. Please email the office for more information and to find out the location.

The Bible is rich with promises that were either realised in the coming of Christ or that await fulfilment in his coming again. Four of these promises are traditional advent themes and are considered in the first half of this course: the return of Christ in judgement, the Word of God, the birth and role of John the Baptist and the Annunciation. The themes will continue in studies after Christmas: Joseph’s dream, the shepherds, the journey of the Magi, and the story of Anna and Simeon.
